After being driven out of their flooded municipal building by Tropical Storm Irene in 2011, the municipal staff in Waterbury got some good news on Town Meeting Day. Waterbury voters approved a $2.95 million bond to move forward with constructing a municipal complex that includes a 7,656-square-foot, two-story library; 1,365 square feet of shared community space; 5,859 square feet of new construction and renovations for municipal offices; and 1,070 square feet of space for the historical society. The plan includes renovating the historic Janes House, which is the current site of the current library, at 28 North Main Street.

The municipal staff has been operating out of the second floor of the town's main fire station. The Town of Waterbury is one of Ecopixel's Web clients.
