Web Manager

Ecopixel is seeking a well-rounded web professional with a solid technical foundation, strong communication skills, and a passion for great customer and user experiences.

We’re a growing provider of effective and beautiful websites for nonprofits and municipalities. In this role, you’ll help create and sustain customer websites on the Ecopixel platform. Run projects, support customers, make frontend code improvements, configure website templates, lay out content, and more.

  • 100% remote/work from home (must reside in Vermont)
  • $26-34/hour base pay, depending on experience and skills

You’ll get to:

  • Run customer web projects from start to finish
  • Onboard, train, and support customers
  • Proactively find and fix code, content layout, and web accessibility issues
  • Develop website templates using SCSS, Fluid, and TypoScript
  • Design effective content structures and navigation flows
  • Manage content and website implementation to help create and maintain customer websites
  • Evaluate and prioritize customer needs, bugs, and feature requests
  • Create and update written documentation and how-to videos
  • Work remotely as a member of our small team
  • Report directly to the company owner

A successful candidate will have:

  • A patient and helpful demeanor while supporting customers via Zoom, chat, and email
  • A solid foundation in web development technologies, especially CSS, HTML, and Git
  • Understanding of web accessibility (WCAG) concepts and best practices
  • Experience with software including:
    • web content management systems (we use TYPO3 CMS)
    • project management software (we use ClickUp)
    • design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A flexible problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional educational program completion
  • The ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team
  • A willingness to tackle a wide variety of tasks
  • An eagerness to constantly learn new technologies and best practices
  • Residence in Vermont
